Data Science Fellowships

In cooperation with its partner organizations, each year the Park Institute offers multiple graduate-level fellowship experiences for future conservation leaders to develop their data analytics and communications skills.

These fellowships provide early-career professionals with hands-on experiences working with parks and large landscape conservation.

 
 

Land & Seascape Conservation Fellowship


Fellows focus on converting large public and private datasets into targeted conservation storytelling toolkits, including interactive maps and cartographic spreads. Offered exclusively to graduate students of Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment. Learn more here.

Sally S. Kleberg Conservation Data & Policy Fellowship


Fellows gain the experience and techniques to create geospatial resources needed to inform policymaking across the Chesapeake Bay. Exclusively available to graduate students of Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment. Learn more here.

Resilient Landscapes Fellowship


Fellows will utilize the Park Institute’s current body of knowledge with their research and communication skills to support the Institute’s conservation goals in coastal North Carolina and the broader Southeast region. Learn more here.
